Seitz, George B.
1888-1944
   Natural de Boston, su origen es teatral. Llega al cine en 1913 para trabajar como actor y guionista. En es te ultimo cometido alcanza un notable exito, que lo lleva a la direccion. Casi de inmediato obtiene un sonado triunfo como guionista con el serial Perils of Pauline (1914), que dirigieron Louis J. Gasnier y Donald MacKenzie. Autor de una extensa filmografia, los ultimos anos de su carrera los dedico preferentemente a poner en pie la serie de filmes producidos por Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer que tienen a Andy Hardy, interpretado por Mickey Rooney, como protagonista.
   Sus westerns son aceptables, rodados con buen pul so narrativo, pero sin salirse de las normas impuestas al genero por sus estrellas del momento, en este caso, en las tres primeras, Buck Jones.
